Privacy Policy
Vault-Lock ("the app") is built and maintained by Ahmed Kabdalla. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and your rights as a user.
Data We Collect
Vault-Lock does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All data created within the app — including your blocked app lists, modes, and schedules — is stored exclusively on your device using iOS system storage (UserDefaults and local file system).
Screen Time & Family Controls
Vault-Lock uses Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls framework to block and unblock apps. This functionality operates entirely on-device through Apple's system APIs. Vault-Lock never has access to your Screen Time data beyond what is necessary to apply the blocking rules you configure. No Screen Time data is transmitted off your device.
NFC
Vault-Lock uses your device's NFC reader to detect a physical card tap and toggle app blocking. NFC scan events are processed entirely on-device in real time. No NFC data, card identifiers, or scan history is stored or transmitted.
Notifications
Vault-Lock may send local notifications (e.g. when a scheduled lock or unlock occurs). These are generated on-device only and are never sent through external servers.
Analytics & Tracking
Vault-Lock contains no third-party analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or tracking code. We do not track you across apps or websites.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, share, or transfer any user data to third parties — because we don't collect any.
Children's Privacy
Vault-Lock is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, we will revise the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
